Sure, you already know there’s gonna be lots of chaos and disaster but here's five other cool things you can expect from this new Syfy series. Aftermath premieres Tuesday, September 27 at 10/9c.

Karen Copeland ain’t your grandma’s June Cleaver.

The mother Copeland is ex-military so when disaster strikes, you can expect for her to strike back (now, put that on a bumper sticker). Sunglasses and short hair, Karen is all business and is not here to play.

The kids are alright.

No, really, they’re alright. Twins Dana and Brianna alongside big brother Matt, don’t scare easily and know how to hold their own against demons, supernatural disasters and cell phone outages. #thehorror

The end of the world is just the beginning.

You know how most series about disaster take place after the disaster, leaving you to wonder how it all went down? Well, Aftermath answers your questions. You get to see the world as it goes to sh*t, finding out exactly what caused the world-wide ruckus.

Everything is (not) going to be alright…

But that’s what makes the show interesting to watch. Playing it safe ain’t Aftermath’s game. The stakes are high and they should be - the world is ending. The suspense in each episode will have you waiting…on…baited…breath… for …what…might…happen… next!

Beware of the big bad wolves, storms, scary ass dudes with machine guns, etc.

Most shows focus on thwarting the evil of a single “big bad” threat, whereas with Aftermath, literally everything is a threat: natural disasters, unnatural disasters, serpent gods, no Snap Chat. Each week, you’ll get to see the Copelands - and those they encounter along the way - face off against everything.

So, basically, the show is kind of like a roller coaster on mescaline. But you don't have to take our word for it.

Welcome to the End of the World
