About Al Sapienza
Over the course of his thirty-year career, Al Sapienza has brought to life a parade of memorable characters in film and television.
On television, he played mafia hitman "Mikey Palmice" on HBO's The Sopranos and teachers' union lobbyist "Marty Spinella" on the Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-winning Netflix original series House of Cards. Additional television credits include a recurring role on CBS' Person of Interest, in addition to appearances on The Tomorrow People, Rookie Blue, Arrow, Blue Bloods, White Collar, 24, Prison Break, Fringe, Law & Order, Brotherhood, and NCIS.
On the big screen, Sapienza has appeared in over 80 films including Million Dollar Arm opposite Jon Hamm and in the Warner Bros' reboot of Godzilla. In 2012, he starred in A Dark Truth for Magnolia Pictures (2012) opposite Forest Whitaker, Eva Longoria, and Kevin Durand. Additional credits include Omphalos; 9 Full Moons; Lucky N#Mber; and Separation.
When not acting, Sapienza lends his entertainment talents to support various causes, including singing for the Wounded Warrior Project, a program that provides services to meet the needs of injured service members. Sapienza is also active politically, volunteering his time to support issues at the local and state government levels. He currently splits his time between Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto. When in New York, he participates in weekly football games with a group of friends who have played together every Saturday since 1964.
