OK, that's not true. He is terrified of ghosts.

 

For real, Aaron Sagers is a TV personality, journalist, professional nerd, pop culture guru, and travel junkie. He is an author and expert on topics ranging from geek culture, paranormal pop culture, zombies, comics, and horror. 

 

He has been on The Today Show, was Host/Co-Executive Producer on the Travel Channel (where he remains as a Travel Expert) and hosted an after-show for Syfy's Being Human, where he still appears. Sagers appears as the host of TLC’s Paranormal Lockdown: Evidence Revealed. He worked with HBO as a Game of Thrones expert for morning shows across the nation and filmed a "Travels With Dracula" travel show in Transylvania (with Bram Stoker's direct descendant) -- which led to him returning to Romania for his "Vlad vs. Vlad" segments with Luke Evans for the film Dracula Untold. He joined TruTV's Super Into with Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad, and was turned into a The Walking Dead Walker by effects guru Greg Nicotero. Sagers hosted filmed Back to the Future and The Breakfast Club reunions for Universal Home Entertainment.

 

He has likewise appeared on AOL Build, Fuji TV, CNN, MTV, BBC, HLN, Reelz Channel, and Huffington Post Live. Sagers is currently Editor At Large for Syfy Wire, and hosts the weekly Syfy Wire podcast "Who Won The Week."

 

He has performed as a guest or host at live events for Disney/Star Wars, Fox, Esquire TV, Focus Features, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel/Destination America, Syfy, and Universal, and at conventions such as San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, London Film and Comic Con, and South By Southwest.

 

Along with more than a decade of experience as a journalist and syndicated columnist for  MSNBC.com, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Philadelphia Inquirer, Miami Herald, and more, Sagers is founder of Paranormal Pop Culture -- an entertainment site exploring supernatural, horror and paranormal genres. He has been profiled in The Hollywood Reporter, is author of Paranormal Pop Culture: Rambling and Shambling Through the Entertainment of the Unexplained, contributing author to Doctor Who Psychology, and contributor author to college reference guides (on topics of paranormal entertainment, and popular culture), and to Lonely Planet travel guidebooks. Similarly, he has taught journalism as an adjunct professor of New York University.
