Sally has always been someone who spoke her mind and didn't take a lot of flack. While in college, she fell in love with fellow student Danny and they became engaged right after graduation. Sally and Danny moved into the townhouse (now occupied by Josh, Aidan, Nora and Sally), but Danny's controlling and abusive ways were no longer something Sally could ignore. Following one particularly vicious fight, Danny shoved Sally, sending her flying down the stairs to her death. Sally was relegated to the spirit world from that moment on.

In life Sally was vivacious, smart, funny and driven. In death she is much the same, though her early demise left her floundering for answers and desperate for physical connection with another person (ghosts can't touch!).
