About Melissa O'Neil

2015 proved to be a flourishing year for Melissa O'Neil as she filmed Season 1 of Dark Matter and guest arcs for both This Life (CBC) and Rogue (DirecTV). She also entered the world of video games as she worked with Ubisoft.

With a career focused heavily on stage, Melissa's Broadway credits include Les Miserables and Jesus Christ Superstar. Canadian career highlights include Les Miserables, Dirty Dancing (both Mirvish Productions) and the Stratford Festival of Canada.

Melissa is also the youngest and first female winner of Canadian Idol, resulting in a platinum-selling single, a certified gold album and a Juno nomination for Best New Artist.

Melissa was the recipient of the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Performance From a Female in a Leading Role (Musical) for her performance as Eponine in Les Miserables.
