A massive wormlike creature is said to inhabit the remote Lake Lagarfljot. One of the largest lakes in Iceland, this remote body of water is reportedly home to this immense serpentine monster. Spotted consistently since 1345, this is one of the oldest lake monsters ever recorded. It is reputed to be longer than a football field and has been seen coiled near the lake shore by countless eyewitnesses.
According to reports, the worm has been seen on land as well as in the water and is believed to be able to slither into the forests on the rim of the lake. Feared by locals and relatively unexplored by science, the truth behind the Icelandic worm monster is a mystery waiting to be explored.
