CONNOR TRINNEER
as Chief Engineer Charles “Trip” Tucker III
Connor Trinneer stars as chief engineer Charles Trip Tucker III, a Southerner with an offbeat sense of humor. A brilliant engineer and an outstanding officer, Trip has very little first-hand experience with alien cultures; he is often ill-equipped to deal with the exotic customs of new civilizations.
Born in Walla Walla, Wash., Trinneer attended Pacific Lutheran University in Washington, where he played college football. When a classmate asked him to audition for a school theater production, he did. Although Trinneer didn't get the part, he decided to pursue an acting career. Trinneer graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree in acting and then went on to receive a master of fine arts degree in acting and directing from the University of Missouri.
Trinneer's television credits include a recurring role on
One Life to Live and guest-starring roles on several television series, including
FreakyLinks,
Gideon's Crossing,
Melrose Place,
Touched by an Angel and
E.R. He also played lead roles in the independent film
Raindogs and the PBS telefilm
Far East, and he appeared in the HBO film
61*.
On stage, Trinneer has been seen in several off-Broadway and regional theater productions, including
Hamlet,
Much Ado About Nothing,
Far East,
The Rover,
The Tempest,
Picnic,
Julius Caesar and
Arcadia.
He currently resides in Los Angeles. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, working out, surfing, snowboarding, reading and traveling.
