With the final challenge out of the way, the contestants and judges from Face Off's third season took the opportunity to recollect in a special live event that would also serve as the coronation of the grand prize winner! McKenzie served as the master of ceremonies, and spent some time early on catching us up with the contestants and what their lives have been like since filming concluded.
Viewers were also treated to a series of video montages highlighting some of the season's more…interesting…moments. These included a blooper reel, a look at the rather involved vocabularies Glenn and Neville used to critique the contestants' work, and a run-down of some of the unique phrases spouted by the season's most colorful contestant, Alana.
In the end, though, this night was about the three finalists. During the live hour, McKenzie introduced several video clips highlighting the outstanding makeups executed by Laura, Nicole and Derek, with special attention paid to Nicole's transformation after her dismissal and shocking return to the show. The judges had plenty of praise for each of the final three, highlighting Laura's outstanding technical skills, Derek's vision and Nicole's willingness to take big, bold chances since her return.
In the end, though, only one could be the winner, and when the vote was announced, Nicole was named the Season 3 champion. Overcome, she celebrated with assembled friends and family while McKenzie signed off on another Face Off competition, with a promise for more to come in the upcoming season!
