In search of answers about Dave’s past, Vince heads south to Mateo, North Carolina to track down an address on his adoption papers. He’s hoping to find a lead that will explain his interaction with the dimension beyond the “thinnys."
At the Croatoan Café, Vince makes some headway by uncovering an old legend about “croatoan,” the same word that Maddie, “The Iron Maiden” wrote in her journal during her hypnotherapy session with Dave.
In the middle of his research into his brother’s past, Vince’s body is suddenly inhabited by his brother Dave. Quite alarming for both of them. Especially since Dave didn’t know Vince was doing this type of research.
The other side of the coin. They don’t know this yet but keeping secrets causes this new body switching Trouble. Maybe if Vince had told Dave where he was going and why, this never would have happened.
At the Murray Q. Frederickson Psychiatric Facility, another body switching incident occurs. This time, one of the people affected kills the person his personality jumped into—and they both die. Good info to know for the other body switchers!
Audrey appears again. This time, she asks that Nathan leave her alone with Duke. Once that happens, she tries to convince Duke to take off her chains, making Duke suspicious. He decides Mara is pretending to be Audrey.
Vince (inside Dave’s body) feels drawn to the house in Dave’s adoption records but for all the wrong reasons. There is a thinny next to the house and it’s trying to pull Dave’s body in, even though Vince currently occupies Dave’s body. Thankfully, Dave (inside Vince’s body) is there to stop him.
