Helix: The Three Most Effed-Up Moments - Mother
Hoo, boy. Michael gets sealed in a concrete tomb and then everything really goes to hell at The Abbey (and the entire island of St. Germain, at that). Last week's episode of Helix went to some crazy, dark, gooey places, including the revelation of Michael's most guarded and grotesque experiment. Glurg!
Season 2, Episode 10: "Mother"
- The Hunchback of St. Germain
Just look at Landry. This is what happens when you get injected with Sarah's spinal fluid: you turn into the main attraction at the St. Germain Sideshow Spectacular (which doesn't exist, but with all these loonies running around, it really should). Landry doesn't spend the entire episode in bed, though - he amorously attacks Sarah (thinking she's Amy), runs up a bell tower and eventually falls down the shaft (with Balleseros right behind him, R.I.P.). As Landry's body wasn't revealed, he may have survived the fall - which means he may get to sing "Out There" yet. Sanctuary!
- The Birthing Room
Oof, this is truly the stuff of nightmares. Anne's shaping Peter to be Michael's successor, and the first step into the renegade Immortal's shoes is to become privy to the secret room where women are bound, fed through feeding tubes and forced to pop out babies. Peter, mesmerized by the scenario, slits the wrists of one mother after she gives birth, after which he cradles the newborn infant. Oh, Peter … when's someone gonna put an end to your path? You're getting just too screwed up to go on, even at this joint.
And speaking of giving birth and motherhood and being screwed up …
- Amy's Gonna Be a Mama!
Well, sort of. Amy's just not giving up on her desire to be immortal, even though Plan A turned her boyfriend/brother into the Elephant Man. Julia seems to have come up with a Plan B, which involves … implanting Sarah's kid into Amy's uterus.
Oh, dear. This doth not bodeth welleth.
Next Episode: Speaking of Plan B …
