Helix: The Three Most Effed-Up Moments - The Ascendant

Wednesday, April 1, 2015 - 13:34

Well, Helix just keeps going further and further down that deep, dark, twisted sicko rabbit hole. Really, at this point someone oughta light a match in the Mycotic Forest and just let the whole island burn, but until then there's evil and madness both hither and thither. Check it.

Season 2, Episode 12: "The Ascendant"

  1. Zestfully Clean!
We figured it was only a matter of time before Peter and Anne got it on. Really, these two cuckoo birds were made for each other. But it couldn't just be some spontaneous indulgence like the kind Alan and Sarah had in Season One ("What we did was biology," was how Sarah so romantically put it); no, their consummation was a lengthy, ultra-art-directed sequence consisting of slo-mo shower sex interspersed with shock cuts of the two of them chopping up the bodies of all the poor souls who got gassed to death in the last episode. Hey, mass dismemberment always turns us on, too.

  2. Bye, Mom
We knew it wasn't going to end well for poor, confused Olivia. Getting strangled to death by the psycho twerp Peter was bad enough, but the fact that the horrible deed was witnessed by Olivia's one-eyed son, Soren, takes it into the realm of Greek tragedy. And those are really, really tragic.

  3. A Mother's Rage
Sarah's not playing around anymore. She will take a machete to your damn foot if you get in the way of her taking care of her Immortal child (we've been calling him 'Immie' in our recaps, and it's just adorable). Anne was tight-lipped with info that Sarah needed to replace the leaking jar for her kid, though she sang like a bird after Sarah abruptly made her left foot about two sizes smaller. Sorry, Anne, but … you had that coming.
