A feisty and independent Tree Spirit, Tinkerbell was named for the musical sound her wings make as she flies. Unlike others of her kind, she engages with Neverland's human visitors and develops a special relationship with the young orphan boy, Peter.
After she requested an agent at the age of three, Keira Knightley's parents allowed her to work on productions in her summer holidays. Her first role was at the age of 9, in Moira Armstrong's TV film A Village Affair. However, Knightley's first high profile role came in 1999, as Sabe, Decoy Queen to Natalie Portman's Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. Since then, she has completed an impressive array of films including The Hole, Pride & Prejudice (for which she was nominated for an Academy Award), Bend It Like Beckham, and the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. In 2012, she will appear as Eliza Doolittle in a new adaptation of the classic, My Fair Lady.
