HOW MANY TIMES CAN I VOTE?

During each voting period, you may vote up to ten (10) times via toll-free telephone voting per originating phone number; up to ten (10) times via SMS voting per originating phone number; up to ten (10) times via online voting per valid Facebook ID for The Decider voting and for Reward & Punishment voting; and up to ten (10) times via online voting per option per valid Facebook ID for Cast Vote voting.  Any vote you attempt to cast above these limits or outside of the designated voting period will NOT count.  You must meet the requirements in the How do I vote? Section for your vote(s) to count.  Syfy Media Productions LLC, NBCUniversal Media, LLC, and Eyeworks (collectively, “Producer”) reserve the right to disqualify, block, or remove any votes originating from an electronic, mechanical or automated means, or originating from an individual who tampers with or otherwise obstructs the voting process, as more fully set forth in the official Vote Terms and Conditions.  Rules and procedures are subject to change at the sole discretion of Producer or the Network without notice.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO VOTE?

Telephone calls to Syfy Opposite Worlds voting lines are toll-free from landlines. Airtime and applicable roaming and long distance charges may apply to cell phone calls.  Contact your cell phone service provider for more information.  If you vote using SMS voting, message and data rates may apply (see Can I vote using my cell phone? or How do I vote using text messaging? for more details).  There is no charge to vote via online voting except standard internet access charges that you may incur.

CAN I VOTE USING MY CELL PHONE?

Yes, you can vote using your cell phone, but airtime and applicable roaming charges may apply when calling toll-free numbers from wireless phones. Contact your cell phone service provider for more information.  If you vote using text messaging, message and data rates may apply (see How do I vote using text messaging? for more details). Only send the contestant’s FIRST NAME to the promoted short code, 21523.  You cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.

WHAT WILL I HEAR IF I CALL THE TOLL-FREE NUMBERS?

If you call outside a voting period, you will hear a busy signal or local carrier error message, and your call will NOT count as a vote.  If you call within a voting period, you will hear a message confirming your vote.  You will hear this message even after exceeding the 10-vote limit per originating phone number, but votes above the 10-vote limit will not count.

MY CALL DIDN'T GET THROUGH, OR I RECEIVED A BUSY SIGNAL OR OTHER MESSAGE - WHY?

The telephone network or your local phone company may be unable to handle the large volume of calls received.  If you are calling during your voting period but can’t get through to cast your vote, be patient and try again.  If you hear a fast busy signal, you may be calling outside of the voting period. When a voting period closes, lines will switch from a “thank you for voting” message to a busy signal or local carrier error message.  If you are sure you are calling within your voting period but still can’t get through, it may be that your local phone company has been flooded with calls. Try waiting a few minutes before calling again.

CAN I VOTE IF I SUBSCRIBE TO A DIGITAL PHONE SERVICE OR VOIP (VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL) SERVICE TO PLACE MY CALL?

Yes, you can vote if you place your call through some digital or internet-based phone systems, such as Vonage or Skype.  For further information, contact your digital phone or VOIP service provider.

CAN I VOTE USING A PAYPHONE?

Calls from payphones will be blocked and will NOT count as votes.  Please use a landline or cell phone to call toll-free vote lines.  Charges may apply when using your cell phone.

CAN I BLOCK MY PHONE NUMBER WHEN CALLING TOLL-FREE VOTE LINES?

If you block your phone number when calling the toll-free vote lines, your vote may NOT be counted.  If you hear the message “you are calling from an invalid number,” your vote will NOT count.  Either unblock your phone number or use a different method of voting.

WHAT IS TEXT MESSAGING/SMS?

Text messaging – sometimes known as SMS (short messaging service) – is a way of communicating short messages via your wireless phone. Most (but not all) handsets have a text-messaging feature.  To vote via text message for SMS voting, during the applicable voting period (see the When can I vote? section), send the vote option’s first name for whom you wish to vote to the short code 21523.  You cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO VOTE VIA SMS VOTING?

The cost of voting via SMS voting varies depending on your carrier’s wireless text messaging package.  If you do NOT have a text messaging package, message and data rates may apply to messages sent and received.  You will be charged for each message sent from and received by your wireless device, regardless of delivery and including invalid votes cast outside of the specified time period.  Please consult your wireless service provider regarding their pricing plans.  Message and data rates may apply.

WHEN I TRIED TO VOTE, MY HANDSET SAID "MESSAGE NOT SENT" - WHY?

The wireless text messaging network may be unable to handle the large volume of texts received.  Please be patient and try again later.

WHAT'S BEING DONE ABOUT POWER DIALING OR LARGE BLOCKS OF VOTES?

Producer reserves the right to implement monitoring procedures designed to prevent individuals from unfairly influencing the outcome of the voting by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements. Producer reserves the right to remove any identified “power dialing” votes.  These procedures apply to toll-free telephone voting, SMS voting, and online voting.

HOW DO I FIND OUT THE RESULTS?
