For Reward & Punishment voting, during each Voting Period, limit ten (10) votes for Online Voting.

If you attempt to vote by Toll-Free Telephone Voting, SMS Voting, or Online Voting outside of an active Voting Period, your vote will not count as a valid vote.  Producer reserves the right to change the limit on the number of votes that may be made per option from each originating telephone number and Facebook ID in Producer's sole discretion.

2. HOW TO VOTE

a. Toll-Free Telephone Voting for the Decider Voting Only

For The Decider Voting only: To vote using the toll-free numbers, dial the toll-free number displayed on-screen at the end of the Show corresponding to your vote option of choice.  If you call during a valid Voting Period, you will hear a message thanking you for your vote.  There is no cost for voting via the toll-free number if you call from a landline.  If you call from a cell phone, airtime and applicable roaming charges will apply.  You may only vote up to ten (10) times per originating phone number.  Any calls made after your tenth (10th) call will NOT be counted, even if an audio message thanks you for your vote.  Outside of a Voting Period, you will hear a busy signal or local carrier error message, and your call will not count as a vote.  The Voting Periods are determined by the time zone (as defined above) applicable to your phone area code.  Calls from payphones will be blocked, so to vote, use a standard landline or cell phone instead.

Power dialing or block voting occurs when individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the voting system by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements.  Producer will have in place monitoring procedures designed to prevent this type of occurrence on “Opposite Worlds.”   If Producer believes that power-dialing or block voting attempts were made, it reserves the right to remove these votes from the final tally.

b. SMS Voting for The Decider Voting Only

For The Decider voting only: In order to vote via SMS Voting, you must:

  • Have your own wireless device capable of 2-way messaging;

Syfy Media Productions LLC, NBCUniversal Media, LLC,  Eyeworks, Telescope, Inc., and/or Verizon Wireless and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities and persons (collectively, the “Administrators”) are not responsible for and shall not be liable for lost, incomplete, late, damaged, misdirected or incomplete text messages; difficulties, failures or malfunctions of phones (including wireless phones/handsets), phone lines or telephone systems or other communications malfunctions; cellular equipment towers, telephone systems or wireless services; interrupted or unavailable networks, applications or servers; miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or other technical failures; garbled, lost, misrouted or scrambled transmissions; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission, communication or report; traffic congestion or for any technical or other problem which may cause the voting to be disrupted or corrupted.

If for any reason the voting is not capable of being executed as planned, or if there is an infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical or reporting failures, or if any other causes beyond the control of Administrators corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this voting, the Administrators reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to take any action they deem appropriate or to withdraw the transmission of any vote but are in no way obligated to do so.  Furthermore, the Administrators may, but are not obligated to, permanently disqualify from any promotion any person they believe has intentionally violated these rules, and terminate or suspend voting at any point and declare the vote results based on the votes up to that point, if it appears that the voting process has been so distorted by hacking, failures, errors or other interference that the results would not reflect actual valid votes should the voting continue.  In the event of technical or reporting difficulties with the Toll-Free Telephone Voting, SMS Voting, or Online Voting, Administrators reserve the right to review the votes for accuracy and to take any appropriate action, including, without limitation, voiding the votes cast during the time period in which such technical or reporting difficulties occurred, but are in no way obligated to do so.  Administrators and their respective agents, officers, directors, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials, applications or software in connection with this vote.  Administrators are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription or reporting of voting information, errors in any promotional or marketing materials, for any human or electronic error, or for votes or reports that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, or late.

Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or website, tamper with the voting process, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the voting is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Administrators reserve the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

These rules are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the Administrators.

5. CONDITIONS OF VOTING

Administrators are not responsible for any damages to voters’ device(s) that may occur from use of service.  Administrators reserve the right, for any reason and in their sole discretion, without any obligation, to modify, suspend or discontinue the voting service without prior notice.

Administrators reserve the right to modify the Show’s contest rules, and the terms and conditions of this voting process at any time in their sole discretion.
