On the day a younger, more innocent Amos arrives on the ship, the crew is plagued by equipment problems, oxygen depletion and radioactive teeth. As a representative from HR, Amos interviews everyone on the ship and comes across some very "interesting" personalities. He and Lt. Hunkle who were former co-workers reunite and take their relationship to a very intimate level.

Kennedy looks to Amos' visit as a chance to be hired as the second in command and prepares by putting on too much radioactive teeth whitening. Her pearly whites then cause meltdowns throughout the ship and a crazed former Executive Officer, who has a knack for really inconvenient mutinies, breaks out of his cell and tries to overthrow the ship. Dick Amos comes to the crew's rescue and impresses Captain Ripley. Amos is unceremoniously named as the new Second in Command, Kennedy is peeved, but soon after calm is restored aboard the OK.
