The Cabal, the one-time nemesis of The Sanctuary and all it stood for, launched a bloody assault on Helen and her team when they perfected their league of Superabnormals, a strain of humans that the Cabal mutated into teleporting, super-strong vampires. These monsters infiltrated the Old City Sanctuary with Magnus's own daughter, Ashley, threatening to rip the jugular out of her very own mother.
