What are Star Wars characters made of? Six mesmerizing character posters designed for an upcoming exhibit titled Star Wars Identities reveal all.
Star Wars Identities is an innovative exhibition and interactive art gallery hosted by X3 Productions and Lucasfilm Archives that explores the science of personal identity using the galaxy of characters from Star Wars. Its theme—What Forces Shape You?—allows visitors to immerse themselves in the iconic personalities on a whole new level in a learning environment filled with authentic costumes, scale models and rare artwork from the entire spectrum of films.
By following the dramatic journeys of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, visitors will develop a better understanding of what makes the characters of Star Wars, and its legions of delirious fans, who they really are.
The exhibit will have its world premiere at the Montreal Science Center on April 19, 2012. The new portraits of Darth Vader, Yoda, Queen Amidala, Boba Fett, C-3PO and an Imperial stormtrooper were specially created for the event's ad campaign. Each composite image is derived from inspirational elements and images central to each hero's or villain's individuality and the events that so permanently formed them.
