You can definitely smell Christmas (and the eggnog and the plum pudding) coming when the BBC releases the first official Xmassy look at Matt Smith's beloved Doctor for the upcoming Children in Need Doctor Who Christmas special prequel episode.
This Doctor Who Christmas special prequel episode will air tomorrow in the U.K. during the BBC's yearly Children in Need fundraiser TV special.
Matt Smith's Doctor looks pretty darn serious dressed in very Victorian garb—Doctor Who really loves the Victorian, Dickensian stuff when it comes to its Xmas specials—with "The Next Doctor" and "A Christmas Carol," it'll be the Doctor's third Xmas outing in the Victorian-type era.
It's been quite the tradition for the BBC to present something Who-related each year for its charity fundraiser.
Below is the official blurb for that special prequel episode:
Doctor Who, featuring Matt Smith, will bring viewers an extra special 'prequel' to its Christmas special, with a bespoke storyline made for Children in Need, and an exclusive preview trailer of the Christmas special including the first glimpse of the Doctor with his new companion.
We don't know about you guys, but we're really looking forward to tomorrow and getting into the yuletide spirit with this special minisode. Guess we'll see ya all tomorrow again then! What do you think of our Time Lord's yuletide outfit? Does it make you look forward that much more to both the minisode and the Doctor Who Christmas special?
