We're not dreaming. We're also not hallucinating. Nor are we on drugs. We've actually just seen the trailer for Joss Whedon's long-awaited Cabin in the Woods.
If you've been paying attention to the drama, you'd know that Cabin—which was produced by Whedon, directed by Drew Goddard and co-written by them both—was filmed way back in March 2009 and scheduled for a release date in February 2010. The release was delayed when MGM decided to convert the film to 3-D and delayed even further when MGM went bankrupt.
But Cabin eventually made its way off of a shelf and into the hands of Lionsgate, possibly due to the success of co-star Chris Hemsworth, who played the title character in Thor. Lionsgate will be giving us Cabin on April 13, 2012.
We've long been impatient for details on Cabin, and with this trailer we have a few more. Because we know Joss and his evil ways, we assumed that there was more to this movie than a typical friends-in-the-woods-get-mutilated-by-a-serial-killer flick. Now we have proof that it's way more interesting than that.
Oh, and there's a new poster too. Check out the Rubik's-cube design.
