That X-Men: First Class PR team is certainly earning its paycheck this week. Only yesterday they gave us an eyeful of X-Men with two new posters and the 30-second TV trailer. Today, they've released the second International trailer, clocking in at a minute and a half. And it's the most dramatic trailer so far.
If these trailers really are a true representation of the movie (and not just the good bits), we're in for a treat. Not only is it an action-packed adventure that can be enjoyed by adrenaline junkies, but it's also a movie with moral and even philosophical complexity that can be enjoyed when that adrenaline rush dies down.
Charles Xavier provides the narration by way of dialogue snippets. And it's all about Erik: what he can do ... and what he shouldn't.
(It's kind of like the conversations that Obi-Wan and Anakin in Revenge of the Sith should have had, had Obi-Wan realized that Anakin was going Dark.)
Check it out.
