Steven Spielberg's all over TV these days. Not only is he taking on aliens in the series Falling Skies; he's also messing around with dinosaurs in Terra Nova. Three cool yet eerie posters for the show have been released, and they all look oddly familiar.
To rev up the show's marketing, Fox has released these promotional posters, with each being weirder than the last. One warns us to "Stay inside the compound," another says, "Be aware. Some insects are deadly," and the last simply states, "Do not feed. Dinosaurs may bite." Really? May they? We thought that was a given.
Is it just us, or do these posters give you a Jurassic Park, Land of the Lost, Avatar, Dharma Initiative feel? Even though this is a new show, it does have an old-school vibe to it. It makes us feel a little nostalgic.
Terra Nova takes place in both the future (2149) and the past (85 million years earlier) and centers on a family called the Shannons. When Earth is threatened with extinction, scientists develop a time portal and the Shannons use it to journey to the past. It's there that they encounter the first human colony—Terra Nova.
Jason O'Mara, Christine Adams and Stephen Lang lead the cast of Terra Nova, which premieres on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.
