Is anyone really upset that the Wonder Woman TV series didn't get past the pilot stage? It's hard to believe that such an iconic character didn't make the grade, but after watching these three clips from the show we know why. The proof is in the Amazonian pudding.
The first clip, titled "Amazing Grace," shows Wonder Woman chasing down a criminal in the middle of a busy street. She gets hit by a car but manages to catch up to him and rope him in—literally. Can we just acknowledge how badly executed her lasso is? It looks as if it was drawn into the scene during post-production.
In the second clip, "Willis," we're supposed to see a vulnerable side of Wonder Woman as she bonds with a bed-ridden buddy in a hospital. The scene beg the question: How many times can you say the name Willis in one minute?
And finally, the third clip, "God Forbid She Makes Mistakes," shows Wonder Woman as her alter ego Diana Prince. She's in a board room talking to some important people about the sexed-up public image of her alter ego.
Wonder Woman featured Adrianne Palicki, Cary Elwes and Tracie Thoms. The cast isn't that bad, but the tacky wigs, terrible fight choreography and horrible dialogue was. We can respect the executives' decision not to move forward with this one.
Do you agree? Or do you think Wonder Woman deserves another shot?
