Ah, late spring and early summer, or as it's known when you're in your 30s: wedding season!

Yes, it's a time for celebrating love, seeing friends and family you haven't been around for a while and trying to determine which wedding trope you'll fall into this time.

Of course, in genre entertainment, weddings aren't just about toasting a glass of champagne, cutting it up on the dance floor, or a far-too-cutesy Instagram hashtag that you forget to use about an hour into the reception. Instead, they're usually about some kind of wacky guest star, time-travel moment, or in the case of Game of Thrones, death. Lots and lots of death. We'll get to that in the video.

So, with apologies to the wedding of Lois and Clark, which was a fun stunt done on TV and in the comics at the same time but eventually wiped out and later restored thanks to magic and alternate universes, or the wedding of Peter and MJ, which was a fun stunt done in real life and comics at the same time but eventually wiped out and later restored thanks to magic and alternate universes, here are six sci-fi and fantasy weddings that we'll remember no matter what time-travel or deal-with-the-devil shenanigans happen in the future.
