The first full trailer for SYFY’s new film Realive has dropped and introduces us to a future you probably wouldn’t want to wake up in.

The film focuses on a man who is given a short time to live and decides to cryogenically freeze himself to see if they might be able to save him in the future. Fast-forward 60 years, and he wakes up in 2084 in a future that is far from what expected. It’s described as a sci-fi thriller and looks to tackle questions of identity and the price of resurrection. The full trailer certainly looks freaky enough, and the cast of Tom Hughes (About Time), Charlotte Le Bon (The Walk), Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), and Barry Ward (The Fall) look to be doing a great job with it. Realive was written and directed by Mateo Gil (the original Vanilla Sky).

SYFY picked the film up off the indie market, where it made quite a splash with critics. It’ll be great to see the smart sci-fi flick get a decent push and theatrical release where it can find an audience.

Realive opens in theaters on September 29 and hits VOD on October 3. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
