The casting news just keeps on coming today, and we have yet another fresh batch of actors joining some established TV shows, while a veteran horror actress will be coming on board The Grudge reboot.

First off, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be adding a Lord of the Rings and Spartacus alum for Season 5. According to TVLine, Craig Parker will be joining the ABC TV show toward the end the season in the role of Taryan, who is described as a “formidable wheeler-dealer from another planet.”

Knowing the show's propensity for hiding established comic book characters in plain sight *cough* Skye was really Daisy/Quake *cough,* it’s possible Taryan may turn out to be someone from the comics. Another and much simpler possibility, however, is that Taryan could be a Kree since they’ve been heavily involved in the show’s fifth (and perhaps final) season. A third one is that he'll simply be just that, an alien from another planet totally unrelated to the Kree.

Next up, Variety reports that Lin Shaye — who is mostly known for playing medium Dr. Elise Rainier in the Insidious movie franchise (the latest one, Insidious: the Last Key, was released in January) — has been cast in Sony’s upcoming reboot of The Grudge, written and directed by Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of my Mother).

Shaye’s role hasn’t been revealed but she is joining a stellar cast that currently includes Andrea Riseborough (Oblivion), Demian Bichir (Alien: Covenant) and Star Trek’s John Cho.

Produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, The Grudge will be a new reimagining of the Japanese horror film Ju-on: The Grudge (2002). An American remake starring Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) was produced in 2004, followed by two sequels released in 2006 and 2009. The movie is currently slated for a 2019 release.

Last but not least, Sheldon Cooper’s (Jim Parsons) big bro Georgie will finally make his first appearance on The Big Bang Theory; and he’ll be played by Jerry O’Connell (Sliders). The news was revealed during Wednesday night’s PaleyFest panel for both Big Bang and Young Sheldon (via TVLine).

The often-mentioned but never-before-seen Georgie (not counting the younger version of the character seen on Young Sheldon) will be showing up during Sheldon and Amy’s (Mayim Bialik) wedding. Laurie Metcalf (soon to be seen on Supergirl) will reprise her role of Sheldon’s mother, Mary, who will be walking her son down the aisle.

Whether Sheldon’s much-loved Meemaw (June Squibb) or his twin sister Missy (Courtney Henggeler) will also show up for #ShAmy’s Big Day still remains to be seen. But since this will be an important milestone in Sheldon's life, we wouldn't be surprised if they were also in attendance.
