It might be getting hot outside, but don't worry, there'll be plenty to watch from the cool safety of your sofa this summer. From new Marvel shows to sci-fi blockbusters, the Big Three have you covered.

Netflix is bringing the heavyweights this week, with Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok and Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi both landing on the massive streaming service. Netflix will also be dropping Season 2 of Luke Cage, along with the long-awaited series finale of sci-fi series Sense8. Hulu will be picking up the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, while Amazon Prime will add the beloved space opera Babylon 5. That makes for a major get, and finally puts the series on an easily accessible streaming outlet.

Check out the full rundown below and let us know what you'll be doing.

NETFLIX

Highlights

Thor: Ragnarok: It was one of Marvel's best movies to date, and breathed new life into one of the MCU's stuffiest characters. It's hilarious, action-packed, and a nice counterpunch to the much darker Infinity War (which is still in theaters). Ragnarok has proven to have enormous staying power, and there's no doubt it'll find a very long second life on Netflix.

Sense8: The Series Finale: Fans fought tooth and nail to bring this series back to life, and the fruit of that labor is finally going live. A fervent fan campaign helped push Netflix to revive the canceled show for a series-ending special, and the pressure is on to land one of the most original sci-fi shows on television.

Luke Cage (Season 2): Luke is back, and this time everybody knows his name. Season 2 finds Luke an established minor celebrity in Harlem, but all that comes crashing down when Bushmaster comes to town to lay the smackdown. As if that weren't enough, Misty Knight gets her bionic arm. Now, that's something comic fans can get excited about.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi: It might've gotten a somewhat mixed reaction from some fans, but The Last Jedi was still a massive box-office smash that critics adored. Look for fans to give this one a second (or third, or fourth, or fifth) shot with it so easily available on streaming.

HULU

Highlights

The Lord of the Rings (trilogy): It's hard to believe, but for a while now there's been no easy way to stream the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Thankfully, that's all about to change. Hulu will be adding Peter Jackson's entire trilogy, including The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. Plan your binge accordingly.

Punisher: War Zone: Before Marvel launched the MCU, the company tried a whole lot of things with its comic properties. One of those experiments was this bloody, messy take on the Punisher in 2008 (the same year Iron Man hit the big screen). It was pretty universally panned and fairly low-budget, but it's still a fascinating peek at how things might've gone if Iron Man had bombed.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (Season 2): This little-seen BBC America series was actually a whole lot of fun, taking a smart and wild take on the Douglas Adams tale. If you missed it the first go-round, it's well worth checking out now that it's easily bingeable.

Highlights

Babylon 5 (Seasons 1-5): There's a fairly large contingent of sci-fi fans who will almost certainly be geeking out over this one. This J. Michael Straczynski series from the early to mid-'90s helped lay the groundwork for the ambitious, serialized science fiction television we enjoy today. Sure, the effects haven't aged all that well, but the show is still rock-solid.

Event Horizon: This 1997 Paul W.S. Anderson sci-fi flick has grown to become a cult hit masterpiece among fans, and it's always worth revisiting this mind-bending horror tale. It's aged surprisingly well and is just as freaky as ever. Especially when it's just a click away.

Stargate: It's the film that launched about a billion hours of television, but before SG-1 or Atlantis, it was just a relatively simple sci-fi adventure to the stars. If you've already blown through the new prequel series Stargate: Origins, take a trip back to where it all began.
