Anna Faris, who plays a time traveler in the British comedy film Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, told a group of reporters that her character is of little help to those inquiring about her quantum talent.
"Nerdier guys, I guess, nerdier British guys that hang out at pubs, have a lot of questions about time travel," Faris said in a group interview on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, Calif., where she was promoting Observe & Report. "I can't answer any of them, although I am a bit of a nerd, and I like pubs for sure."
The movie is described as Doctor Who meets Shaun of the Dead. Is Faris' character more interested in past and future styles? "I play a time traveler, and I wear a lot of different wigs," Faris said.
The British co-production will finish its United Kingdom theatrical run, but a stateside release is in flux due to the shutdown of the American studio Picturehouse. "I did [the film] in London with the BBC, in connection with the BBC and HBO," Faris said. "It's getting a U.K. release this month, but I'm not sure what the status is. I don't know what the journey for that movie is."
