The first trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s upcoming zombie drama, Maggie, has been released. The Terminator: Genisys actor has even shared it on his Facebook page. The new movie stars the former Governator himself, as well as Abigail Breslin (Zombieland) and Joely Richardson (Vampire Academy, The Messenger).
If you're expecting some cool zombie-killing action on the part of Arnie and him shouting stuff like "Hasta la vista, baby" in this PG-13 flick, we’re sorry to disappoint. This movie looks to be more along the lines of the recently canceled BBC series In the Flesh (with guns), rather than the bloody gory Resident Evil. Ahnold doesn’t say much in the trailer, but he does shed some manly tears. Have a look:
Here’s the movie synopsis:
There’s a deadly zombie epidemic threatening humanity, but Wade (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a small-town farmer and family man, refuses to accept defeat even when his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) becomes infected. As Maggie’s condition worsens and the authorities seek to eradicate those with the virus, Wade is pushed to the limits in an effort to protect her. Joely Richardson co-stars in this post-apocalyptic thriller.
The upcoming zombie drama is being directed by first-time helmer Henry Hobson, who was The Lone Ranger and Killzone: Shadow Fall sequence designer. What do you think about the trailer for Maggie?
