When DC Comics' summer mini-series Dark Nights: Metal comes to a close, the publisher will launch new titles in the aftermath, as part of the "Dark Matter" initiative. One of those is The Terrifics, which is essentially DC's take on the Fantastic Four from rival Marvel Comics.

In The Terrifics, Mr. Terrific will bring together Plastic Man, Metamorpho, and Phantom Girl as a new DC Comics super team. Well, Echo (echo) Kellum, who plays Mr. Terrific on Arrow, thinks the series has a lot of potential.

"About time I'm a franchise!" Kellum told ComicBook with a laugh. "That's super cool. I hadn't heard about that. I want to read this, when's it come out?"

Jeff Lemire, Ivan Reis, and Doc Shaner will bring The Terrifics to DC Comics after Metal, so not until late 2017 or early 2018. But could they ever show up on TV? Well, Metamorpho has been hinted at in the Arrowverse with Simon Stagg on The Flash. Phantom Girl is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, who have been teased considerably on Supergirl. So there's at least a chance, someday, that Echo (echo) could lead his own superteam in live action.

DC's Dark Nights: Metal starts in earnest on August 16, 2017. Arrow returns to The CW October 12, 2017, at 9 p.m. ET.
