Noted motion capture expert Terry Notary is moving from one genre blockbuster to the next.

Having done excellent work in the mo-cap suit as the big ape himself in Kong: Skull Island (he's also played the simian Rocket in the rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise and worked on Avatar), Notary is one of the most in-demand actors around when it comes to donning the digital pajamas and bringing fantastic creatures to life.

As he now revealed to the Hollywood Reporter (via Screencrush), Notary is working on his next project -- and it's another monster (no pun intended) of a movie. He's in the currently filming Avengers: Infinity War, where he's playing an all-CG part of big bad Thanos' (Josh Brolin) crew.

"I’m working with Josh Brolin and three other actors (in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War), and I’m playing Josh Brolin’s right-hand bad guy in the film. I can’t say the name of the character or I think Marvel will sever my head, but I apply those same principals of what it means to drop bulls**t and just play a character truly evil. And it’s working."

So it seems he's playing a digitally created character, like Brolin's Thanos, but who could it be? Notary is listed on IMDB as playing both Groot and "Cul Obsidian" in the film, but the Cull Obsidian (that's the correct spelling) is not a character at all -- it's a group of aliens, also known as the Black Order, who work for Thanos and helped him, in the comics, look for the Infinity Stones.

Thanos' favorite of the bunch and the de facto leader is Corvus Glaive, so it's not unreasonable to think that is who Notary is performing as. At the very least, it will be great to see Notary lend his skills to the already massive Infinity War production. Won't it be an added bonus if he's leading the Black Order as Corvus Glaive?

Avengers: Infinity War is out May 4, 2018.
