These awesome Cassini spacecraft images of Saturn and its many moons were reprocessed and recalibrated by Croatian Gordon Ugarkovic to enhance subtle color variations. Ugarkovic is a computer programmer by trade but enjoys advanced image processing in his spare time.
Unhappy and underwhelmed with the frequency and quality of the color composites coming out of the Cassini Imaging Team, he set out to retouch and tinker with the raw data, producing this mesmerizing series of stunning Saturnian shots and its myriad moons, including Dione, Titan, Enceladus, Rhea, Prometheus and Tethys, highlighting the eerie atmospheric haze and incredible surface details of these spectacular satellites.
