Though DC’s Flash solo film is still rudderless, the studio apparently plans to debut a bit of the supporting cast in Justice League later this year.
Actress Kiersey Clemons, who has signed on to play Barry Allen’s love interest Iris West in the solo film, will actually make her debut in Justice League later this year. Clemons confirmed the news in an interview with Modeliste Magazine, likely by accident, when asked about her upcoming appearances. Justice League opens November 17 and is directed by Zack Snyder (though Joss Whedon is finishing it up following Snyder’s exit due to the tragic death of his child).
Here’s an excerpt from Clemons’ comments:
"This November, I’m making a cameo in Justice League as Iris West and it’s the first time that you meet her before we get to see her in The Flash with Ezra Miller. It was my first time doing something so extravagant like that. We filmed in London and that’s one of my favorite places.”
With Clemons making her first appearance in Justice League, it means we’ll be learning a bit more about Barry Allen’s (Ezra Miller) life ahead of the solo film. Speaking of that solo film, it’s currently without a director but tentatively scheduled for a 2020 debut. Though, with no director, who knows if it’ll even happen at all. Regardless, it looks like we’ll at least get to meet the big-screen Iris West.
