You've got to be limber to be Spider-Man, so we guess it makes sense that the actor reported today as the screen's latest wallcrawler would have gotten his big break as a ballet dancer.
Jamie Bell, who became a star thanks to his role in the 2000 film Billy Elliot, in which he played an aspiring dancer whose choice doesn't sit well with his coal-miner father, will be the new Spider-Man, replacing Toby Maguire, Bleeding Cool reported.
The site claims that it has received several reports that Bell, who has already accepted a starring role in another comics franchise—Tintin—has been chosen by Sony.
For now, we'll peg this as only a rumor—after all, the site does go on to state, "P.S. Unless of course it is Josh Hutcherson after all, then as you were"—but even so, what do you think? Would Bell make a believable Spidey?
