Black Panther international trailer teases potential link to Infinity War

There are always slight differences in the footage teased in trailers made for domestic audiences versus international, and Black Panther's latest international trailer appears to be no exception.

A new promo released via Marvel Japan provides glimpses of several new scenes from the film, which have not been shared previously. Those include new establishing shots of Wakanda, and all the technological marvels (no pun intended) this city has to offer -- so it's no surprise that T'Challa's biggest challenger, Killmonger (played by Michael B. Jordan), wants to play a big role in shaping its future.

He's not the only one T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) has to concern himself with; the new king of Wakanda utters a line about the hidden city being discovered: "If anyone found out what we truly are, what we possess, it could destroy the world. It is my duty to protect it."

That vagueish line certainly seems to be a nod to the role that T'Challa -- and Wakanda, by extension -- has to play in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Could it signal that the city itself may be the hiding place of one of the Infinity Stones that Thanos is so eager to get his hands on? Since Infinity War is slated to premiere a few months after Black Panther's Feb. 16, 2018, debut, it makes sense that T'Challa's solo movie would set up his involvement in the eventual Avengers team-up flick.

You can watch the entire trailer via Marvel Japan above, which also serves up a few more fun effects related to T'Challa's Black Panther suit. Check it out, then let us know what you think of our Infinity Stone theory in the comments.
