Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is blasting off into space for a grand cosmic adventure in just two weeks. Ahead of the Season 5 premiere, Marvel has unveiled the first action-packed clip, as well as new poster with the season's space-centric key art.

The show’s fifth season finds Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team stuck on a mysterious spaceship where they’ll not only encounter a new set of characters that could either be friends or foes (with one person in particular doing his best Star-Lord impression), but also come across the Kree and face off against some deep-space horrors.

The sneak peek shows Coulson, Mack (Henry Simmons), Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), and Yo-Yo (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) running for their lives from a not-so-friendly creature that puts the Alien Xenomorphs to shame. Even trying to blast its head off with a laser gun is no use against the superfast critter who just keeps avoiding the blasts. Have a look:

Joining Coulson, Simmons, Yo-Yo and Mack (who is seen here with his trusty "Shotgun-Axe") for the new poster below is the rest of the S.H.I.E.L.D. gang: Daisy (Chloe Bennet), May (Ming-Na Wen) and Fitz (Iain De Caestecker).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for a hotly anticipated fifth season with a special 2-hour premiere on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. on ABC. Are you guys looking forward to a whole new season of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
