Every month, SYFY WIRE will be bringing you the solicitations for all the upcoming comic books you need to know about. Today we have Boom! Comics listings for November 2017 single-issue comics, trade paperbacks, hardcover collections, and games. Make note, at least 11 of the trade and hardcover listings below are early solicitations for January 2018!
Some of our genre Boom! Comics Picks of November include:
• Kong of the Planet of the Apes: First up is a sweet crossover with King Kong of Skull Island and Planet of the Apes, ocurring after the first Apes film in 1968, where Dr. Zaius and General Ursus must try to survive the perils of Skull Island. Magno comes over from his Planet of the Apes series, and his art is just lovely to look at.
• Board games are hot, especially ones based on '80s movies. Mondo is coming out with one for The Thing, and now BOOM Studios is set to release a Big Trouble in Little China RPG that has 15 fully narrated quests. There's also the new miniseries that's co-written by John Carpenter and Anthony Burch called Old Man Jack, which by November will be three issues in, so if you act quick you can still find the first issue right now.
• If you haven't tried the Adventure Time comics from the KaBOOM imprint, you really should, because they're done very well. If the main title is in too deep, the anthology book, Adventure Time Comics, has a little taste of each character done by different artists. Issue #17 features the work of Jeffrey Brown, Christopher Mitten, and Spencer Amundson.
Check out all these listings and more below, and then let us know what comics are making it onto your pull list in the comments!
