In this pitch-perfect pastiche of all of those bright-and-sunny pharmaceutical commercials that litter the airwaves, Cooper smiles his way through the explanation of a drug called NZT, which'll make you faster, stronger and better. The only hitch? One of the side effects is certain death.
This is the beginning of the campaign for a film called Limitless, which doesn't hit theaters until March 11, 2011. Directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist) and starring Cooper, Robert De Niro, Abbie Cornish and Anna Friel, it's about an advertising copywriter who stumbles upon a drug that gives the user superhuman powers but carries with it a hefty set of side effects. Like paralysis, psychosis, extreme sexual appetite and sudden death, to name but a few.
As with all things, it's all about the small print.
