A new batch of hi-res pics from X-Men: Apocalypse has been unveiled in the newest issue of Empire Magazine. The movie stills feature Big Bad villain Apocalypse, Storm, Psylocke, Magneto, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Mystique, Moira MacTaggert, Havok and Hank/Beast.
Along with the images, a few interesting quotes from director Bryan Singer were also pulled from the mag, in which he discussed the overall look of Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) in Fox’s upcoming comic-book movie, saying: "He'll be very similar to images in the comic. There's obviously something very futuristic and yet ancient to the design of both his costume and his physicality."
Singer also talked about Quicksilver’s (Evan Peters) role in the new X-Men movie, and how he’ll fit into the film. "You can't have him run around a kitchen in the Pentagon again. But I can incorporate him into the movie in a much more appropriate and integral way."
As for the mutant speedster's dad, actor Michael Fassbender, who plays Magneto, also dropped some intriguing tidbits about his character. "Magneto is a guy that plays both sides. It depends on the day of the week. When we first meet him here, he's hung up his cape and he's fallen in love and had a family. His motives are in some ways justifiable, it's just his methods that are questionable."
What do you think of Bryan Singer’s comments about Apocalypse’s overall appearance, and the way Quicksilver will fit in a more integral way in X-Men: Apocalypse? And what say you of En Sabah Nur's look for the movie? Yea, or nay?
