Superheroes aren't the only ones with sidekicks, and now the Red Skull has found his (sort of) for the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Toby Jones, the British actor best known for playing Truman Capote in Infamous, is in final negotiations to play evil scientist Arnim Zola in the production, which already has Hugo Weaving cast as the Red Skull. Zola, a genetic engineer who created clones and various monstrosities for Hitler, survived World War II by inserting his mind into a robot.
In addition to voicing Dobby the House Elf in the Harry Potter movies, Jones has also played Swifty Lazar in Frost/Nixon and Karl Rove in Oliver Stone's W.
Joe Johnston is directing Captain America: The First Avenger, with Chris Evans in the lead, Sebastian Stan playing sidekick Bucky Barnes and Hayley Atwell as the Cap's love interest, Peggy Carter.
The movie will begin shooting this summer in England with a planned release date in the U.S. of July 22, 2011.
So what do you think of this latest Cap casting news?
