While there’s plenty of speculation going around that Daisy Ridley’s new Star Wars: The Force Awakens character, Rey, is actually Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo’s (Harrison Ford) daughter, there’s no denying that a fun relationship seems to have developed between the two actresses -- based on the fun back and forth between the two of 'em in Interview magazine.
After Ridley mentioned the fact that Fisher had told her how great it was to take pictures with people because it humanized them when you could feel their hearts racing, Fisher quickly changed the topic to something she apparently loves to talk about. Sex. “Aw. I also said it's hard to date once you're a big Star Wars star because you don't want to give people the ability to say, ‘I had sex with Princess Leia.’”
Gotta say, she makes a fair point there.
The two of them had a bit of a laugh over this before discussion moved on to Star Wars merchandise, which in turn led to them talking costumes, which then led back to talking about, what else, moar sex, with Fisher quipping: “Oh, you're going to have people have fantasies about you! That will make you uncomfortable, I'm guessing.” With Ridley answering “Yeah, a bit.” With the exchange continuing as such:
FISHER: Have you been asked that?
RIDLEY: No, they always talk about how you're a sex symbol, and how do I feel about that. [Fisher sighs] I'm not a sex symbol! [laughs]
FISHER: Listen! I am not a sex symbol, so that's an opinion of someone. I don't share that.
RIDLEY: I don't think that's the right—
FISHER: Word for it? Well, you should fight for your outfit. Don't be a slave like I was.
RIDLEY: All right, I'll fight.
FISHER: You keep fighting against that slave outfit.
Hey, we love that slave bikini outfit, right? RIGHT?! What do you think about Carrie Fisher's advice to Daisy Ridley?
