We still have to wait until Monday to learn who lives and who dies in Revolution’s season-one finale, but the network is already prepping for year two — and here are some of the new characters we’ll be meeting along the way.
The writers are looking to add no fewer than five new regular and recurring characters next fall, which makes us wonder how much damage next week’s finale will do to thin the ranks.
Of the new additions, we’ll have a small-town doctor, a religious single mom, a femme fatale, a crazy professor and a sheriff. How they’ll play into the growing war between the nations, and the story of our beloved band of survivors? No idea, but we can’t wait to find out.
Here’s an excerpt from TV Line’s report breaking down the casting sides:
“The Season 1 finale has yet to air, and already NBC’s freshman hit is busy recruiting reinforcements for the battles yet to come. Season 2 casting calls have gone out for the possibly series regular role of Gene, a folsky, 60something doctor from a small Texas town, as well as the recurring characters of Cynthia (a religious single mom), Annabeth (a femme fatale who runs an entertainment “mecca” of sorts), Titus (a slightly psychotic professor) and a handsome sheriff in his 30s. As for Monday’s season-ender itself, Elizabeth Mitchell assures us, ‘Forces collide…. Forces most definitely collide!’”
It’s hard to get a read on how all these folks will fit into season two, but one might guess some or all of them are part of a new locale that will pop up next season (that “small Texas town,” perhaps?).
What do you think of the new characters, and who is your bet not to survive the finale?
