In the world of casting, God and Sabrina have both found new friends, and Arrow receives a warning from an old foe.

According to TV LineArrow has cast Kyra Zagorsky (pictured above) as Athena, a former member of the League of Assassins. Athena's purpose is to maintain the legacy of her fallen commander, Malcolm Merlyn, and she sees anyone associated with him as a threat. Zagorsky is best known for starring in SYFY's Helix, and has appeared in a number of other genre TV shows, too, including Continuum, Supernatural, Falling Skies, Fringe, and Smallville.

This comes on the heels of learning that Katrina Law will be returning to Arrow as Nyssa Al Ghul. Executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim told TV Line that Nyssa returns "to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love."

In other casting news, per The Hollywood Reporter, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) has been given a best friend on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Jaz Sinclair will play Rosalind Walker, the outspoken daughter of Greendale's minister. The Riverdale spin-off based on the Archie Comic promises to be a darker take on the story than the Melissa Joan Hart-led sitcom from the 1990s. In the original comic books, Rosalind and Sabrina were arch-nemeses.

Sinclair will next be seen in the upcoming Slender Man horror film, based on the infamous creepypasta.

And finally, Deadline reports that God Friended Me has found its lead. Brandon Micheal Hall will star in the CBS hourlong pilot as Miles, an atheist who is friended by God on Facebook. He becomes an unwitting agent of change in the lives of those around him. The show is created by Steve Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt (Kyle XY, Gotham) and directed by Marcos Siega (Dexter, The Vampire Diaries). Berlanti Productions (which does all The CW superhero shows) is producing.

Hall most recently starred in ABC's The Mayor. The sitcom has not officially been canceled, but the show was pulled from the air and Hall was released from his contract, which means the show is as good as canceled, though.
