Filming started earlier this month on It: Chapter Two, but director Andy Muschietti has just made another two significant additions to his cast.

Variety reports that Canadian actor Teach Grant (pictured above) has joined the film as the adult version of Henry Bowers, the psychotic bully played by Nicholas Hamilton in the first film, who tormented the Losers Club and came under the influence of It.

Bowers was also featured in the adult timeline of Stephen King's novel: Incarcerated in a mental hospital after being blamed for the murders It committed during the childhood section of the story, Bowers breaks free and goes after the Losers Club as adults.

But his fate in the movie version was a little less clear after he fell down a seemingly bottomless well near the end of 2017's horror hit. However, the addition of Grant, whose genre credits include stints on Almost Human, Supernatural, and the recent Netflix sci-fi series Altered Carbon, confirms that the vicious Bowers will be back.

Also joining the adult cast of It: Chapter Two is Jess Weixler as Audra Denbrough, the wife of Bill Denbrough (James McAvoy). In the book, Audra is a famous film actress who resembles Bill's childhood love Beverly (Jessica Chastain). She follows Bill back to Derry when he returns as an adult, but is ultimately captured by It and driven catatonic when she sees the entity in its true form.

Weixler made quite a splash in 2007 when she starred in the movie Teeth, about a young woman who finds she has a set of them in her nether regions. Weixler has worked steadily in TV and the movies since then, most recently appearing on The Good Wife and The Son.

It: Chapter Two also stars Bill Hader, Bill Skarsgard, Jay Ryan, Andy Bean, James Ransone, Isaiah Mustafa, Xavier Dolan, and Will Beinbrink. The movie is due out Sept. 6, 2019.

Elsewhere, The Gifted star Emma Dumont will play the title role in the comic book adaptation Razor, according to Deadline. Rob Cohen (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) is directing the film, which is based on a series by Everett Hartsoe that first launched in 1991.

Dumont will play Nicole Mitchell, a young woman who has been in a mental institution ever since seeing her cop father and sister killed by members of a crime syndicate. Released after a decade, she launches a plan to clean up Chinatown, using special gauntlets on her arms that are lined with razors.

The series later took a supernatural bent, with Nicole being killed and resurrected, this time with the razors embedded directly into her flesh. She also teamed up with Eric Draven, aka The Crow, in a spin-off limited series.

Cohen has launched the xXx and The Fast and the Furious franchises in the past, and sees the same potential in Razor, saying about his star, "Emma is a renaissance woman. She’s a wonderful actress, a professional ballet dancer, and is currently getting her degree in Robotics Engineering. I have her training in Krav Maga and, believe me, there is nothing she can’t do.”

There's no word yet on when production will start, but in the meantime Dumont will also return as Polaris this fall in Season 2 of The Gifted.
