The first full trailer for the next installment of Telltale Games’ acclaimed Walking Dead saga has arrived, and the New Frontier looks to be a dangerous place.

The game, titled The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, introduces us to the new character Javier and old stalwart Clementine. Clem has had some time to get acclimated to the post-apocalypse, and the little girl we met in Season 1 is long gone. This is teenage Clem, who at this point would make a perfect girlfriend for Carl if they ever brought her over to live action. Along with showing off Clem’s acumen at killing zombies, we also get a peek at comic (and TV) character Jesus, who will apparently be popping up to help Javier and Clem along the way.

The story looks to follow the introduction of a sinister new group called the New Frontier, which seems to bear a striking resemblance to Negan’s Saviors. Clem says they've pretty much lost their humanity at this point. Though, in the post-apocalypse, it stands to reason there will be more than a few bad apples out there to survive. So that makes some sense.

The first two “episodes” of the game are set to debut Dec. 20, and should make for the perfect distraction while we wait for Season 7 of the show to resume in 2017.
