DC Comics has enlisted the help of Warner Bros.' wacky menagerie of Looney Tunes characters to grace the pages of its themed variants for the month of November. Artists from the talented ranks of Warner Bros. Animation joined forces with a crack team of DC illustrators to create this happy bunch of hybrid covers pairing the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe Le Pew, Michigan J. Frog, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird and Marvin the Martian with a cool collection of flagship DC Universe titles including Batman/Superman, Wonder Woman, Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Sinestro, Justice League, Teen Titans, Detective Comics and more.
With DC Comics' parent company being Warner Bros., I think this meshes nicely in a whimsical sort of way, but cringe at the thought of Mickey Mouse and company hopping into the covers of Marvel's top-shelf titles and hope this doesn't become a continuing trend.
Or maybe I simply need to lighten up a little and enjoy this sunny collaboration!
What do you think? Do you dig this corporate cross-pollination? Want more cartoon celebrities crashing the covers of your favorite monthly issues, or are you ready to declare, "That's All, Folks!?"
