Two new promo pics of Danny Rand (Finn Jones) striking a pose as the Living Weapon in Marvel's Iron Fist have been unleashed.
Marvel and Netflix's new street-level superhero series from showrunner Scott Buck (who's also on Marvel's The Inhumans) also stars Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, David Wenham as Harold Meachum (yup, that's a lot of Meachums), Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Lewis Tan as Zhou Cheng and Simone Missick as Misty Knight.
Although we've yet to see Finn Jones suited up as Iron Fist (the Game of Thrones actor has hinted that we'll get to see a version of the costume at some point), the character portraits show Danny sporting his dragon-shaped tattoo. In the pages of the Marvel comics, Iron Fist got this tattoo seared onto his chest when he defeated the immortal dragon Shou-Lao as part of his final test so he could absorb part of his power.
Speaking about the style of fighting the character will use in the series, Finn Jones said:
"There's all sorts. There's Kung Fu, wushu, dragon, tiger, monkey; there's so many different forms of martial arts that we're approaching it. It takes a martial artist a lifetime to learn this stuff, and I've had a month. It's been really intense, but really fun. The way I approach it is it's like learning a dance routine. You learn the steps, you get that in your mind and your body, you learn the choreography, and then you add acting on top of it, and all that development, and then you turn up on the day and you just kick ass."
The 13-episode Netflix series will premiere on March 17.
