The Dark Knight flings a flamingo in preview for DC's All-Star Batman #8

Scott Snyder's All-Star Batman is definitely one of DC's best Rebirth titles, though it can be somewhat uneven and frustrating in its pairing of what's now a revolving roster artists to Snyder's solid, penetrating writing.

The masterful All-Star Batman #6 kicked off the post-Harvey Dent storyline, "Ends of the Earth," and drove the Dark Knight up against the frosty Mr. Freeze using the perfect match of Jock's surreal art. However, last month's issue #7 gave us a continuation of the new arc with Poison Ivy's botanical expertise being enlisted to help with the spread of Mr. Freeze's devastating ancient bacteria unleashed upon the world, but Tula Lotay's uninspired line work was just not up to the task.

The March issue has my rapt attention as it focuses on insane neurobiologist Dr. Jervis Tetch aka The Mad Hatter, Batwoman, Red Hood and Nightwing and showcases the somber but stylish art of Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man).

Here's the solicitation description:

"Hats and Bats"! Underestimate the Mad Hatter at your own peril. Batman takes on one of his most dangerous and deranged foes in a mind-bending tale from the powerhouse creative team of writer Scott Snyder and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli!

Fling yourself into this five-page preview of All-Star Batman #8 and let us know if you'll cap off your pull shelf with this new issue when it strikes on March 15.
