He's king of Atlantis, and also the clean-up guy following the war with Atlantis, which brought destruction to Amnesty Bay, Boston, and more. But hey, at least Aquaman is enjoying some time in the spotlight as a beloved hero with lots of aqua-fans.

But since this is a comic book, happiness won't last long for our hero. In DC Comics' Aquaman, Issue 16, the "Deluge" is over, but the "Warhead" story arc is just beginning. The story, written by Dan Abnett with art by Andrew Hennessy and Bradley Walker (plus covers by Bradley Walker, with a variant cover by Joshua Middleton), shows Aquaman's tenure as a hero threatened by a new villain emerging from the rubble.

We don't yet know who this new baddie is, but he certainly seems intent to prevent peace in our time. For a peek at the new bad guy and to get a sense at what he may have in store, check out our exclusive preview below of Aquaman #16. If you dig it, pick up the issue when it's available on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
