This summer is a big one for Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. Not only is the Cat about to marry the Bat (no thanks to the worst wedding gift of all time from Booster "idiot" Gold), but she's about to start a new solo series, written and drawn by Joelle Jones. In a summer of new beginnings, it makes sense that Selina would change up her costume a little — and that is exactly what DC Comics is having her do.

Catwoman is getting a new look, which can be seen for the first time on the cover of the second issue of her solo series, Catwoman #2. The cover as well as the look is drawn by Joelle Jones. Since debuting in Batman #1 in 1940, Selina has adopted many different looks...there's been one, two, three, four, five, STILL ALIVE!

Apologies, we couldn't resist. Take a look at the full version of Jones' cover that will give you an idea of the Cat's new look:

We don't really know what is going on in this image (if it's a dream, Selina doesn't seem to mind it all that much), but it does show that the Cat has given up on her handy goggles and has gone back to a regular cowl. For a closer, less-nightmarish look at the new costume, take a look at these two images that highlight the outfit a little more:

Black is still her color, but the new outfit looks a bit sleeker while possibly having some bulletproof reinforcement around the middle. It looks stylish and functional, and thankfully there are no whiskers involved.

Catwoman's new series will debut on July 4, with this second issue appearing August 1. What events of the first issue will cause this costume change? We don't know yet — all we know about the new series is that it will feature Selina returning to her hometown and dealing with someone who is pretending to be her. She'll be out to catch this copycat, or, because it's just right there...copycatwoman.

Before her solo series begins, however, there's gonna be a wedding. The hall is rented, and Selina has already stolen the dress. In case you aren't excited enough, here's a previously tweeted image of the wedding issue cover, Batman #50.

Will something ruin the magic, or will it be a puuurrrrrfectly meow-ificent day for Selina and Bruce? They deserve happiness. We will not accept otherwise.

What do you think of the new costume? Scratch it out in the compurrs.
