Not to state the obvious here, but as the co-publisher of DC Comics (along with Dan DiDio), and one of the foremost creators in the business, Jim Lee knows a thing or two about comics. So when the wise one recommends a title, you may want to listen to what he has to say. And as you can see in our exclusive interview below, Lee really thinks you should check out the new Mister Miracle series by Tom King and Mitch Gerads.

Of course, Lee’s not the only one enamored by King and Gerads’ new take on the old Jack Kirby Fourth World title. But you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more eloquent and knowledgeable salesman than Lee, whose 1991 X-Men spin-off with Chris Claremont is still the best-selling comic book of all time. As such, he’s quite good at vocalizing what makes a book like Mister Miracle – about “the ultimate escape artist” who’s “decided to kill himself to see if he can escape death” – so darn vital.

Check out Lee’s full reasoning below, then let us know if you’re sold on Mister Miracle.
